ABOUT JON
Jon is a bestselling author and sought-after speaker on faith, mental health, and addiction. He approaches the topics through a rare filter of radical vulnerability and the idea of messy sanctification, leaving audiences and readers feeling like they’ve known him for years, with an immediate sense of relatability mixed with wise discernment.

Jon has been asking questions and telling stories his entire life. But it’s been his vocation since 2010. Now a veteran storyteller, he has written over 10,000 stories in the past 15 years.
After graduating from The Kings College, he helped start top-50 news site, The Blaze, then became the editor-in-chief of the popular non-profit, I Am Second. Seidl then launched his own media and content company, called The Veritas Creative, to help businesses, nonprofits, and people tell their story better.
He has appeared on TBN and “The Huckabee Show,” has been published by Fox News and World Magazine, and has been featured on I Am Second as well as hundreds of radio shows, podcasts, and TV programs.
In 2021 he released his first book which chronicles his journey with faith and mental health, specifically his diagnosis of OCD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Finding Rest, instantly became a #1 bestseller. He thought that’s where his story would end. It didn’t.
By 2023, after some of the biggest setbacks of his life, he became an alcoholic ... as a Christian. After hitting rock bottom on a beach in Miami, he started the crawl back to Jesus and found sobriety, hope, and help.
Now, he’s sharing his full story. The raw, real version. Through his trademark radical vulnerability, he talks about his shortcomings and how he broke free from addiction through the help of some key steps that can help anyone. His newest book, “Confessions of a Christian Alcoholic,” will release fall 2025.
Today, Seidl travels the country speaking on mental health, addiction, and messy sanctification and runs The Veritas Daily, a morning devotional and blog.
He currently lives in north Dallas with his wife, Brett, and their two kids, Annie and Jack, and dog, Lulu. And while he’s proud to be a Texan resident, he bleeds green and gold and can most often be found in Green Bay Packer attire, (loudly) cheering them on from his man-cave of a garage.
